SENATE INQUIRY ON SEISMIC TESTING – COMMUNITY HEARING,
CENTRAL COAST
1.15pm TUESDAY 17th MARCH
CROWN PLAZA TERRIGAL

Please join us at the Senate Inquiry on Seismic Testing – Community Hearing.
1.15pm Tuesday 17th March 2020.
Crowne Plaza Terrigal
(open to community viewing – please come along for support to show the community’s opposition to seismic testing.)

For two years you have stood beside us as we called for an end to devastating seismic blasting off our coast. And we collectively won! However we are still at the mercy of fossil fuel companies who can decide to conduct seismic testing again, as legislation still permits it. The Senate Inquiry on Seismic testing is our opportunity to voice our concerns, and a step closer to banning seismic testing completely. The Senate Inquiry hearing is coming to the Central Coast thanks to all of you. This is our opportunity to express our concerns directly to senators, and Save Our Coast has been invited to present.

“What we have here is a multi-trillion dollar industry, an industry that has been exploring for oil and gas for the last 50 years or so, and yet there’s been virtually no scientific research into the effects of seismic testing on marine life and commercial fisheries.”
“I was gobsmacked that the industry could continue unchecked and without robust scientific scrutiny, meanwhile seismic testing permits continue to be handed out like confetti right around the country.” – Senator Peter Whish Wilson – Chair of the Senate Inquiry on Seismic Testing

Please join us as we present the science and voice the community’s concerns on the impact of seismic testing. Your presence will help show the strong community opposition to any further seismic testing, show support for marine animals, our campaign, and help put an end to the torment and harm that is seismic testing. Hope to see you there and thank you for helping Stop Seismic Testing.

NOTE TIME HAS CHANGED!
